Brollan: "It was really weird when [the crowd] started booing us when we entered"
The young Swedish captain was caught off guard by the American crowd's support for The MongolZ.

After a brief reprieve from the event circuit, MOUZ have returned with a vengeance at IEM Dallas. The young European side already marched through the group stage with ease, besting BC.Game and Liquid before taking down international rivals Falcons for the first time since the latter squad acquired superstar AWPer Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov.
Now MOUZ have kept their momentum up into the playoffs, taking down The MongolZ in the semi-finals of the event to secure their place in the best-of-five grand final without dropping a map so far.

Not long after his team's win over The MongolZ, Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin spoke with HLTV regarding the semi-final series, his reaction to the crowd's lack of support, and his hopes for the upcoming best-of-five grand final.

Here with Brollan after a tough win over The MongolZ, headed to your fourth grand final of the year. How are you feeling?
Good, of course. It was a tough match, but I think [even though] we ere not in control all the time, we were pretty in control. It was a tough game, and I'm happy we won.
That Inferno almost got away from you, what was the issue there?
We lost two anti-ecos which we shouldn't have. Of course, we misplayed some crucial rounds and we had some bad calls in the end of the half, but we managed to keep it going and go for the win.
The crowd was not on your side this game. Was that something that was noticeable while playing?
I don't know why. I didn't expect it, to be honest. Apparently they like The MongolZ a lot, and maybe they hate us, or I don't know. It was really weird when I came to the game and they started booing us when we entered the arena. It was pretty weird, but it's fine.
Didn't notice in the game or anything?
Nah, not really. Of course, they are shouting when they are killing people and these things. Booing a little bit, and it was a little bit sad, but it's fine.
Individually torzsi, Spinx, and Jimpphat have had a really phenomenal event so far. Everything seems to be clicking this tournament; what's going on?
Of course, we always try to work as much as possible, trying to improve all the time. We've been improving our map pool this tournament, and torzsi played insane versus Falcons, and was a big factor we won that game. Spinx as well performed very well versus Liquid on Train, for example. We're closing games earlier than before, and maybe that's why things are pretty good.
Another best-of-five grand final for you, up against either Vitality or Falcons. How are you feeling about those matchups?
It's gonna be a tough game for sure. I don't know who we're gonna play; I think they're pretty scared of each other and I think both can win. It's gonna be fun. Obviously Falcons will probably want revenge for the group stage against us, and it's also going to be fun to play against Vitality and try and break their record. I'm looking forward to it.
Do you have a preference between the two?
Nah, not really. Of course, I think Falcons are maybe not performing their best this event, both teams to be honest, but the motivation to beat Vitality's win streak is pretty huge.
